Connect Facebook Ads to SmartBi (Meta Ads)

Follow these steps to authorize the connection between your Facebook Ads account (Meta Ads) and your SmartBi account.


Note: In order to connect Meta Ads, you must have a Facebook account and at least one active advertising account associated with this Facebook account. If you don't have an account, please contact us.


1 - You will need access to your Meta Ads account to link it to your SmartBi account. If you don't have the necessary access, contact an administrator of your page so that he/she can give you the rights, or add him/her as a user of your SmartBi account.


If you have access, click on "I’ve got access! Let's go!": 



2 - Log in to a Facebook account associated with the Meta Ads accoount you want to see in your dashboard:



3 - Then select the Business Account you wish to link to your SmartBi account. Choose the “Activate for current companies only” option and manually select the account in question. Then click on “Continue”: 



Note: It is possible to associate several accounts. You will then be asked to select the one you wish to connect to your dashboard(s).


4 - Finally, select the Facebook Page(s) you wish to associate with your SmartBi account(s). Once again, you can allow all or select them manually. Then click on “Save”:

5 - To complete this step, click on “Save” to grant DataDDO and therefore SmartBi sufficient authorizations for your automated dashboards: 



6 - Once back on SmartBi, select the advertising account whose data you wish to track. Finally, click on “Connect” to complete the process of connecting your Meta Ads account: 



And that's it! Your Meta Ads data source is now connected to your SmartBi account. Your dashboard will soon be available in your account!

If you see any error messages when selecting your Meta Ads account:



This is probably due to the fact that you have been using a Facebook account that does not have access to the Meta Ads account you wish to track. You'll need to contact the administrator of this Page to ensure that they have access to this Facebook Page.


If you've logged in to the wrong account, or if you now have the necessary access, you can click “Reconnect with another account” to start the process all over again.
