Connect Google Analytics 4 to SmartBi

Follow these steps to authorize the connection between your Google Analytics 4 account and your SmartBi account.

Note: To connect to Google Analytics 4, you need a Google Analytics account and at least one working property. If you don't have an account, please contact us.

We work in partnership with DataDDO to ensure that this source is securely connected. Data transfer is always end-to-end encrypted, and your credentials will remain invisible throughout the process.

1 - You will need to have the necessary access to your Google Analytics account to link it to your SmartBi account. If you don't have the necessary access, contact your account administrator to obtain the necessary rights, or add it as a user to your account.

If you have access, click on "I’ve got access! Let's go!":

2 - Select the Google account associated with the Google Analytics account you want to see in your dashboard.

3 - Click on "Continue" to validate the connection:

4 - Then click on "Allow" to allow data synchronization:

6 - Once back on SmartBi, select the account associated with your website, then select the property whose data you wish to track. Finally, click on “Connect” to complete the Google Analytics 4 login process:

And that's it! Your Google Analytics 4 data source is now connected to your SmartBi account. Your dashboard will soon be available in your account!

Note: You will not see a Google Universal Analytics property in your property selection. If you haven't migrated from GUA to GA4, we can help.

If you see any error messages when selecting your Google Analytics account:

or when selecting a property:

This is probably due to the fact that you have been using a Google account that does not have access to the Google Analytics account you wish to use. You'll need to contact the administrator of this account to ensure that they have access to this email.

If you've logged in to the wrong account, or if you now have the necessary access, you can click “Reconnect with another account” to start the process all over again.
